8 Days Morocco tour Itinerary from Marrakech

Welcome and transfer to your Riad in medina.

Embark on a guided tour of Marrakech’s historic sites. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tombs. Explore the intricate alleyways of the medina, visit the vibrant souks (markets), and experience the unique atmosphere of the city.

Leave Marrakech and head towards Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco” due to its numerous film studios. On the way, stop at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified mud-brick village featured in many films. Continue to Ouarzazate and visit the Kasbah Taourirt, a stunning example of Moroccan architecture.

Travel through the captivating landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains towards the Dades Gorges. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Valley of Roses, famous for its fragrant rose plantations. Arrive at the Dades Gorges and marvel at the towering red cliffs carved by the Dades River.

Proceed to Merzouga, a small village on the edge of the Sahara Desert. En route, pass through the Todra Gorges, renowned for their impressive rock formations and hiking opportunities. Upon reaching Merzouga, experience a breathtaking camel trek into the Sahara Desert and spend a memorable night in a desert camp, enjoying traditional music and stargazing.

After witnessing the stunning sunrise over the dunes, depart Merzouga and drive towards the Draa Valley. This valley is famous for its lush palm groves and picturesque landscapes. Explore the Kasbahs (fortified villages) along the way and visit the historical Tamnougalt Kasbah in Agdz.

Return to Marrakech through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, which offers breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains. Arrive in Marrakech and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. You can relax at a traditional hammam, shop for souvenirs, or savor the city’s culinary delights.
