5 Days Morocco Desert Tour from Tangier Itinerary. In this 5 day tour from Tangier, you will discover many treasures of Morocco starting from the north. We will start by visiting Tangier, visiting the cave of Hercules and the Cape Spartel and going down to the blue city of Chefchaouen and filled with alleys of Fes. On the way to the desert, you will see the “Switzerland of Morocco” Ifrane and while by cedar forest, we may see many wild monkeys (Barbary macaque).
To add on, you will oversee the desert and watch the sunset while riding on the camel into the heart of the desert where you will stay in a luxury tent for the night. You can enjoy the Berber Bonfire and glazing stars at night. Furthermore, you will discover other highlights of Morocco which include Ait Ben haddou Kasbah, Atlas mountain, Ouarzazate, Dades valley and Todra Gorges. Finally the tour ends in Marrakech.

5 Days in Morocco, During the first day of the tour from Tangier to Merzouga, we will meet you at the port or at airport and drive through the Rif mountains passing by Tetoun city to enjoy the views of the beautiful mountains till we get to Chefchaouan, one of the stunning villages in the feet of Rif mountains. Your visit starts by visiting the Jewish Quarter (the Mellah) and the Royal Palace (yard), which is the biggest one in the country. You will be visiting the famous tanneries and the Quaraouine mosque considered the first university in the world . 5 Days from tangier to Merzouga, After breakfast We will pick you up then drive south to Ifrane and Azrou through the Middle Atlas mountains. On the way we will stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. Travelling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau and the scenery changing to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia.
After lunch we’ll continue our 5 Days in Morocco from tangier through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani and Merzouga. After a glass of mint tea, we’ll leave our luggage in a safe room then take a camel ride to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes which are the highest sand dunes in North Africa. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min from to the camp where we will set up Berber tents for our night in the desert. The tents are well equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions. 5 Days desert trip, We will wake up early to enjoy a magnificent sunrise on the dunes then take a camel ride back to the hotel. The route through the Dades Valley, the way of the thousand Kasbahs, provides numerous photo opportunities. We’ll visit the Roses valley and Skoura village, then continue to Ouarzazat, “the Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch is at the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. After touring this UNESCO World Heritage site, our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi nTichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260 m, over the High Atlas Mountains.
